This ministry encompasses a choir and fellowship.  In recent years it is uncommon in church congregations to have a strong youth presence.  Because of the one at SHBC, there was a strong, Godly desire to not have a falling away of this blessing in the congregation.  With God’s direction, this ministry was established in January 2019.

Under the leadership and coordination of Sis. Dawn E. James, musician Bro. Kevin O’Neal, choir director Bro. Earnest Joseph, and their faithful parents, the Youth Choir & Ministry is active within and beyond the church and choir stand through various acts of community service at local nursing homes, hospitals, participation in health awareness, and fellowship with youth ministries at other churches.  One of their foundational scriptures is Ephesians 2:10 KJV – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
