What We Believe

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation

to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek,”

Romans 1:16 KJV

God is one triune God:  The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.  All things exist as objects of God’s creative power and not by evolution.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Son of Man.  He is the only Savior of men.  He was born of a virgin, and He is the only mediator between God and man.

The Holy Spirit is the Administer of God.  He convicts the world of righteousness, of sin, and of judgment.  He regenerates, indwells, seals, comforts and preserves every believer in Christ.  He indwells, leads, and preserves the church of Jesus Christ, and restrains Satan and the powers of evil.

The Holy Scriptures, which we know as the Bible, in their original expression, are the Word of God verbally inspired and authored by God.

Salvation is by grace through faith, the benefit of the blood redemption of Jesus Christ, through His vicarious suffering and atonement, His death burial resurrection, and intercession. Except as God Himself provides salvation, mankind is totally depraved, alienated from God by sin, and everlastingly lost.  The believer is made secure in Christ Jesus who will return at the end of this age.

Jesus Christ established His church during His personal ministry on earth.  He is its only Lord and Head.  Its ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s supper.  Jesus’s church is a living organism, a local body of scripturally baptized believers, covenanted together in the faith and fellowship of the Word of God.
